To use ColdFusion to connect to a database, you must create a ColdFusion DSN.

To Create a ColdFusion DSN for an Existing Database

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, select Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
  4. In the Databases section of your Hosting Control Center, click the SQL Server icon.
  5. Click edit (pencil) icon next to the name of the database you want to use with ColdFusion.
  6. In the ColdFusion DSN Name Information section, select Create ColdFusion DSN.
  7. Click Continue.
  8. If everything looks OK, click Update to create a ColdFusion DSN for your database.
