A Certified Domain is a domain origination verification process that validates domain control and contact information of the domain registrant. A Certified Domain shows Web site visitors that the site's domain has passed our validation process and that the domain owner's credentials have been authenticated by a trusted authority. In other words, a Certified Domain is only issued to entities whose domain registration has been verified.

Once the Certified Domain has been issued, a Domain Origination Certified seal is added to the Whois listing for the domain in question. Additionally, the certificate holder may add the Domain Origination Certified seal on his/her Web site, providing visitors with visible evidence that the domain has been validated.
