NOTE: This procedure is available for Linux accounts running Configuration 2.0 and Deluxe or Premium Windows hosting accounts.

We do not support the concept of explicitly changing the document root on your hosting account. However, there is a workaround you can employ to accomplish this. Follow the procedures in the following articles, keeping in mind that the domain name you choose in procedure one does not have to exist in your account but must be unique across our system. Also, the domain name you use in procedure two must be the original hosting account domain name, along with the folder you want to serve as your new document root.

  1. Changing the Domain Name on Your Hosting Account
  2. Adding a Domain to Your Hosting Account.
