To create a podcast, you can record your content using Quick Recorder. For information on installing the Quick Recorder, see Installing Quick Recorder on Your Computer.

To Record Content with Quick Recorder

  1. Open Quick Recorder.
  2. On the Sound Settings tab, you can enable the following options:
    Vocal Compression
Enables vocal compression for your recording. Select Low Compression or High Compression.
    Mic Boost
Doubles the volume of the sound coming into the recorder.
    Phase Shift
Adds a phasing effect to your recording.
  3. Adjust the level of sound going into the recorder using the gain fader located below the File menu. Moving the slider up increases the level of sound, while moving the slider down decreases the level of sound going into the recorder.
  4. Click the Record button (red circle). The Windows Explorer Save As window displays.
  5. In the File name field, enter a title for your recording and click Save. Quick Recorder starts recording.
  6. When you are finished recording, click the Stop button (green square).

To hear your recording, click the Play button (green arrow).

Note: The gain fader on the left side of the recorder adjusts the input level. It does not adjust the output volume.
