Integrating Your Online Store with WebSite Tonight

Quick Shopping Cart offers templates and themes that match those in our WebSite Tonight product. By applying the same template to both applications, you can maintain a personalized Web site in WebSite Tonight and have a matching eCommerce site with Quick Shopping Cart, giving your customers a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience.

To integrate your Quick Shopping Cart and WebSite Tonight accounts, you need to select a matching template for each application. For a list of matching templates, see Matching Templates with WebSite Tonight.

Using our navigation editor, you can also customize your site navigation to link your Quick Shopping Cart and WebSite Tonight sites together.

To Change Your WebSite Tonight Template

  1. Log in to your WebSite Tonight account.
  2. Go to the Templates tab.
  3. In the Available Templates area, you can do one of the following, and then click a template thumbnail to select it:
    • Scroll through the templates available in the Category you previously selected.
    • Click Filter and complete the following for a more advanced search:
      Category
      Select a category that best describes the type of site you want to build.
      Templates that work with
      Click the icon(s) that represent the product(s) for which you want to use the template, and then click Update. For example, if you want your Web site to match your shopping cart, select both Site and Store so only templates that work with both display.

    NOTE: In the Available Templates area, change the color scheme of your template by clicking one of the color swatches next to the thumbnail of the template.

  4. Click OK.

To Associate Quick Shopping Cart with Website Tonight

After selecting a WebSite Tonight template, you can customize your navigation to allow customers to more easily move between your Web site and your storefront.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click WebSite Tonight Accounts.
  3. In your Account list, click Launch next to the WebSite Tonight account you want to modify.
  4. From the Add-Ons menu, select Quick Shopping Cart.
  5. In the Choose Quick Shopping Cart Account list, select the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to associate with your WebSite Tonight account.
  6. In the Navigation button title... field, enter the text you want to display on the navigation button that links to your Quick Shopping Cart site.

    NOTE:"Online Store" displays by default. If you want to change the text, you can highlight and delete the existing text, then add your own.

  7. Click OK.

NOTE: You must publish your Web site for changes to take effect.

To Select Your Quick Shopping Cart Site Template

Each Quick Shopping Cart template has two versions. Version A is specifically designed toward a focused theme, while version B is more general, allowing greater customization for a look that can be applied to a wider variety of storefronts.

To Select a Template for Your Storefront

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
  3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to modify.
  4. Select the Templates tab.
  5. In the Store section, click Change Template to activate the Template Selector.

    NOTE: If you have not yet assigned a Quick Shopping Cart Template, click the Dashboard tab, and then click Assign in the Quick Shopping Cart section. The Site Links page displays, where you can select the Quick Shopping Cart site you want to assign to your Dashboard. Click the Templates tab to return to the Templates page.

  6. In the Available Templates area, you can do one of the following, and then click a template thumbnail to select it:
    • Scroll through the templates available in the Category you previously selected during setup.
    • Click Filter and complete the following for a more advanced search:
      Category
      Select a category that best describes the type of site you want to build.
      Templates that work with
      Click the icon(s) that represent the product(s) for which you want to use the template, and then click Update. For example, if you want your Web site to match your shopping cart, select both Site and Store so only templates that work with both display.
