Virtual Dedicated and Dedicated Server Customers

Virtual Dedicated Server Customers using Red Hat 9, Fedora 2 or 4 and Dedicated Server Customers using Fedora 2, 4 or 6 may upgrade to Fedora 7. To upgrade to Fedora 7:

  1. Log in to your Account Manager. In the My Products section, select Servers.
  2. In the Account Details section, click the server you want to upgrade to Fedora 7.
  3. From the Operating System pull down menu, select Fedora 7.
  4. A message will display notifying you that your server will be reprovisioned. Click OK to accept this.
  5. Click Continue.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Click Save Changes.

NOTE: Once the transaction is complete you will receive a follow-up email with further instructions on reprovisioning your server. You must reprovision your server to upgrade your operating system.

NOTE: FrontPage Extensions are not available or supported in Fedora 7.

WARNING: Upgrading to a new operating system requires that your server be reprovisioned and the operating system reloaded. Reprovisioning erases all of the content on the server hard drive. All of your data will be lost. We strongly recommend that you back up your data before initiating the operating system upgrade.
