The contents of your virtual dedicated Linux server depends the Linux distribution you are using: CentOS 4, Fedora 2, Fedora 4, Fedora 6 or Fedora 7. Below is an overview of the packages deployed with your server, prior to optional control panel installation. Control panels such as cPanel, Simple Control Panel and Plesk will alter the packages deployed.

Virtual servers with Plesk installed will have different configurations. For more information, see the SWSOFT Plesk datasheet at http://www.swsoft.com/r/pdfs/Datasheets/plesk.pdf.

Virtual servers with cPanel installed will have different configurations. For more information, see the cPanel datasheet at http://www.cpanel.net/products/cpwhm/cpanel11/cpanel11-ds.pdf.

All servers are deployed with yum and any vendor supplied package may be added to your system by typing:

yum install packagename

where packagename is the name of the package you would like to install.

The Linux rpm command can be used to list the packages that exist on your Linux virtual dedicated server. Its syntax is the following:

rpm -qa --queryformat "%{GROUP} %{NAME}-%{VERSION}\n" | sort
