To Create a Sub Domain

  1. Log into Simple Control Panel. For more information as to how to do this see How do I access my Dedicated Server using Simple Control Panel?
  2. Click the Domains icon.
  3. Click the Edit button for the domain you want to add a sub domain to. If you are unsure which button is the Edit button, view the tool tips for each button by hovering your mouse cursor over the buttons to the right of the domain name.
If there are no domain names listed, you need to add a domain before you can configure a sub domain for it. For more information, see Adding New Domains.
  4. In the Domain Configuration - Sub domain area, click Add Host. For field definitions on any screen, click the help button.
  5. In the Server name field, type the name of the sub domain.
  6. In the Document root field, type the directory path where the HTML files are saved.
  7. (Optional) You can do the following:
    • To enable Web statistics, select Webalizer.
    • To enable Server-side Include, select SSI.
    • To enable CGI scripts, select CGI.
    • To enable server-side scripting in PERL, select ModPerl.
    • To enable server-side scripting in Python, select Python.
    • To install FrontPage Server Extensions, select FrontPage.
    • In the FrontPage password and FrontPage password (again) fields, type a password.
  8. Click Save.
