Removing Additional FTP Users from Your Shared Hosting Account

You can easily remove additional FTP users from all Linux shared hosting accounts and Windows shared hosting accounts running IIS 7.

NOTE: You can only remove additional FTP users. You cannot remove the primary FTP user for your hosting account. Removing an FTP user does not remove their content directory.

To Remove Additional FTP Users

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, select Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
  4. In the Settings section in your Hosting Control Center, click Manage FTP Users.
  5. Next to the user you want to remove, click Remove.
  6. Click OK.
