Uploading Video to Quick Blogcast

With Quick Blogcast, you can easily add a video blog entry to your site. You can record and upload a video blog entry from the Add video page if you are using a Windows® operating system. If you are using a Mac®, or already have a video entry recorded, you can upload your video using the instructions below. To Add a Video Blog Entry

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Entries page, click Add Video.
  5. To upload and convert a video to Flash format, click Load Video.
  6. Select your video file and click Open. The video displays.
  7. If necessary, you can select a starting and end point for your video using the following buttons:
    Start Point
    Using the slider, select the location you want your video to begin, then click Start Point.
    End Point
    Using the slider, select the location you want your video to end, then click End Point.
  8. In the Input File Name area, select quality and size from the following choices:
    Quality
    The video quality. The higher the quality, the larger the file.
    Size
    The size the video will display.
  9. Click Start Encoding. The video will encode as it plays. Higher quality video will take longer to encode.
  10. Click Start Upload.
    • To edit the title of the video, enter a title in the Title field. (Optional)
    • To edit the category of the video, enter a category in the Category field. (Optional)
    • You can add text in the text editor. (Optional)
  11. Click Save.

To Publish an Entry

In the Entries list, you can select how many entries you want to display on each page. You can select to display 10, 20, 50, or 100 entries per page. If there is more than one page, you can change pages by selecting a different page from the page number drop-down.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Blogcast.
  3. Click Manage Account next to the blog account you want to modify.
  4. From the Manage Entries menu, select Entries.
  5. In the Entries List, locate the entry you want to publish. There are two search options to search your entries in the Entries list:
    Month/Year
    Select a Month/Year from the Month Search drop-down list and click View.
    Title and Body
    Select to search the Title and Body, Categories, Status, or Authors, then enter a keyword, and click Search.
  6. Publish entries by doing one of the following:
    • Click the publish icon next to the entry that you want to publish.
    • Use the checkboxes to select the entries you want to publish, then select Publish Entries from the Select Action drop-down menu and click Apply.
