Quick Shopping Cart's conversion tracking measures the action of a user who clicks on one of your ads and whether the action results in a purchase.

You can set up conversion tracking to track the effectiveness of your Google® AdWords® and Yahoo!® Search Marketing advertisements. When your customer completes a Quick Shopping Cart purchase, a message is sent to the advertiser's conversion tracking server, where you can see conversion statistics.

NOTE: You can integrate Site Analytics Real Time Statistics in your Conversion Tracking to get information on visitor traffic to your Quick Shopping Cart storefront. For more information, see Integrating Site Analytics Real Time Statistics with Your Online Storefront.

Purchasing Conversion Tracking with Google® AdWords

To enable purchase conversion tracking for Google® AdWords, enter the conversion ID that Google® gave you. After you add the ID, Quick Shopping Cart dynamically generates the JavaScript necessary to enable purchase conversion tracking on your customer's invoice when completing a purchase.

NOTE: When generating your Google® conversion ID, select Purchase/Sale in the Google® AdWords Conversion Tracking setup. Additionally, even though the Google® instructions tell you to copy all of the code in the box, you only need to copy the ID in the google_conversion_id line. You use the ID to set up conversion tracking with Google®.

For more information, see Google's Setting up and Using Conversion Tracking section.

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, click Quick Shopping Cart.
  3. On the Quick Shopping Cart page, click Open next to the Quick Shopping Cart account you want to use.
  4. From the Promotions menu, select Conversion Tracking.
  5. In the Google AdWords ID field, enter the conversion ID that Google® gave you.
  6. Click Save.

Purchasing Conversion Tracking with Yahoo! Search Marketing

To enable purchase conversion tracking for Yahoo! Search Marketing, enter the marketing and server information that Yahoo! gave you. After entering the information, Quick Shopping Cart dynamically generates the JavaScript necessary to enable purchase conversion tracking on your customer's invoice when completing a purchase.

When generating your conversion counter, Yahoo! instructs you to copy all of the code in the box to add to your page. For Quick Shopping Cart conversion tracking, you need the marketing and server codes located between the quotes, shown in bold font below:

var ysm_accountid = "XXXThe27DigitCodeFromHereXXX"; + "SRC=//" + "srv1.xx.servername.yahoo.com" + "/script/ScriptServlet" + "?aid=" + ysm_accountid

For more information, see the Yahoo! Search Marketing help.

NOTE: If you already set up Yahoo! Search Marketing with an Overture code, the Overture ID and a support message may display above the Yahoo!® Search Marketing ID field. You must update your information with the Yahoo!-generated marketing and server codes. If you save any change to this page, the Overture ID and message do not display again.
