FrontPage 2003 is a Web design application that lets you publish content to your shared hosting Web site. If you are using any of the advanced FrontPage features like a hit counter or forms, then you must upload using the HTTP (e.g. http://www.mydomain.com) address. If you upload your Web site using FTP (e.g., ftp://www.mydomain.com), then the files that support FrontPage in your hosting directory may become corrupt.

For more information on publishing using the HTTP address, see Publishing Your Web Site Using FrontPage.

To Publish Web Site Content with FrontPage 2003

  1. From the File menu, click Open Site.

  2. Under the Web Site tab, click Remote Web site and then Remote Web Site Properties.

  3. Under the Remote Web site tab, select FTP. Enter your host name, which can be found in the Hosting Control Center. Leave the FTP directory field blank.

  4. Select Use Passive FTP if you use a DSL connection or are publishing from behind a firewall.

  5. Click Publish Web site.
