Installing FrontPage Server Extensions on your Windows or Linux shared hosting account enables you to publish your Web site using Microsoft FrontPage. FrontPage Server Extensions also allow you to implement other FrontPage specific components like forms, counters, and discussion boards. On Windows hosting accounts, FrontPage is compatible with IIS 6, only.

You can install FrontPage Extensions when you set up your hosting account. If you don’t install FrontPage extensions at that time, you can install them later using the Hosting Control Center.

To Install FrontPage Extensions on Your Existing Hosting Account

  1. Log in to your Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, select Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Manage Account.
  4. In the Settings section of the Hosting Control Center, click the Front Page Extensions icon.
  5. To add FrontPage Extensions to your account, click Install FrontPage Extensions.
  6. Enter a FrontPage Email Address and click Continue.
  7. Review and verify your FrontPage Extensions settings. Remember, if you install FrontPage Extensions, you must use Microsoft FrontPage to create, edit, and update your Web site.
  8. If everything looks OK, click Submit.
