Setting Holiday Preferences

Through Calendar, you can customize your calendars to display holidays. To customize, you can choose one or more holiday collections and add and remove custom holidays.

To Add a Holiday Collection to your Calendar

  1. Log in to your Calendar account.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Settings.
  3. Go to the Holiday Settings tab.
  4. From the Choose Calendar list, select the calendar you want to edit.
  5. From the Choose Collection list, select the holiday collection to display in the selected calendar.
  6. Click Add Holidays. Calendar adds the collection to your holidays list.
  7. Clear the checkboxes of any individual holidays that you do not want to include on the selected calendar.
  8. Click OK.

To Remove a Holiday Collection from your Calendar

  1. Log in to your Calendar account.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Settings.
  3. Go to the Holiday Settings tab.
  4. From the Choose Calendar list, select the calendar you want to edit.
  5. In the Holidays list, expand the collection that you want to edit.
  6. Click Remove Collection.
  7. Click OK.

To Add a Custom Holiday to a Holiday Collection

  1. Log in to your Calendar account.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Settings.
  3. Go to the Holiday Settings tab.
  4. From the Choose Calendar list, select the calendar you want to edit.
  5. In the Holidays list, expand the holiday collection that you want to edit.
  6. Click Add Holiday.
  7. In the Holiday Name field, enter the name or title of the holiday you want to add.
  8. In the Start Date field, enter the date on which the holiday occurs or begins.
  9. Select the frequency with which the holiday occurs (none, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly).
  10. Depending on your selection, you may enter additional information regarding the frequency with which the holiday occurs (for example, every Monday, every August, or the fourth Tuesday of September).
  11. In the Ending field, select the date on which the holiday ends and enter any additional information.
  12. Click OK.

To Select Holidays that Display in a Collection

  1. Log in to your Calendar account.
  2. From the Settings menu, select Settings.
  3. Go to the Holiday Settings tab.
  4. From the Choose Calendar list, select the calendar you want to edit.
  5. In the Holidays list, expand the holiday collection that you want to edit.
  6. Select individual holidays to include in the selected calendar, or Select All to include the entire holiday collection.
  7. Click OK.
